Oklahoma in 1st, Louisville 10th After Day 1 of NCAA Norman Regional

To no surprise, Patrick Welch and his University of Oklahoma Sooners are in first place after day one of the NCAA Norman Regional at Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club.
The Sooners as a team are 11-under and lead South Carolina by one shot with two days left to play.
On the individual side, Rhode Island’s Patrick Welch is in a tie for fifth after posting a three-under 69 in round one.

He is three shots off the lead, currently held by Auburn’s J.M. Butler.
On the opposite end of the leaderboard, Chris Francoeur and his Louisville Cardinals will need a big rally over the next two days.
They are nine-over and in solo 10th place.
Francoeur is tied for 18th with a score of one-under par.
