The Match

Standing on 11th tee, O’Donovan and Lenane were one-down in the match and had trailed for the majority of the front nine leading up to that.

They were two down after the fifth hole, before rallying to get within one and keeping it there for the next several holes.

That’s when the two Massachusetts natives got it going.

They won the 11th hole with a par to tie the match before halving the next two holes, meaning the match was tied going into the final five holes.

O’Donovan and Lenane won the 14th hole with an eagle, won the 15th hole with a par to go two up.

Pounds and Usner took 16, but the two teams would halve the next two holes giving O’Donovan and Lenane the win.
