Former Patriot Danny Woodhead Advances in U.S. Open Qualifying

Former New England Patriots running back Danny Woodhead is through to U.S. Open Final Qualifying. 

Woodhead fired an even par 71 in Nebraska local qualifying to advance. 

Three other players also advanced with Woodhead out of the Nebraska local. 

Woodhead dropped this putt (see video below) for birdie on the 17th hole, before bogeying 18 to finish even. 

Woodhead With Patriots

Woodhead played for the Patriots during three seasons. 

He rushed for a total of 1,199 yards and 10 touchdowns, while catching 92 passes for 982 yards and four touchdowns. 

Woodhead helped the Patriots get to the Super Bowl in 2011, where they lost to the Giants.
