Rahm Wins Mexico Open

Jon Rahm came away victorious this week at the Mexico open at Vidanta in Vallarta, Mexico on Sunday afternoon.

Rahm finished the tournament at 17-under par to win by one shot over three players including Kurt Kitayama, Brandon Wu and Tony Finau.

Rahm was the betting favorite coming in to the week, after a few weeks of disappointing finishes.

“I don’t really look at bets or anything like that. I like to think every time I tee it up I’m the favorite. Pretty stressful weekend all the way to the end. I did not think that having a par-5 where a fade of the tee shot was required I’d be stressing this much, but I got it done in the end,” Rahm said after the round.

For Rahm, this is his seventh win on the PGA Tour, but his first since last year’s U.S. Open at Torrey Pines.
