Leopold in 50th After 1st Round of Prestigious George Coleman Invitational at Seminole

Defending Rhode Island Amateur champion Bobby Leopold is in a tie for 50th after the first round of the prestigious George Coleman Invitational at the super exclusive Seminole Golf Club down in Florida. 

Leopold posted a 10-over 82 in the first round and is tied with two other players in 50th. 

There are a little more than 60 players in the field, including former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, Boston mid-am Matt Parziale and more. 

The tournament began on Thursday and ends on Saturday. 

Leopold’s Round 

Starting on one, Leopold saved par on the first four holes before making a double on the fifth hole to go to two-over. 

After two pars, Leopold bogeyed the eighth hole, but bounced back with a birdie on the ninth hole to turn at 38. 

On the back side, Leopold bogeyed the 12th, 13th and 14th holes before saving par on the 15th. 

Leopold then doubled the 16th and 17th holes to finish 10-over for the tournament.
