Addy Douglas Finishes 16th, Fairfield 6th at MAAC Championship
Newport’s Addy Douglas finished in a tie for 16th while her Fairfield Stags finished sixth at the MAAC Championship this week at Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course in Florida.
Douglas posted a final round 80 to finish in a. Tie with teammate Riley Sullivan at 20-over par for the tournament.
Overall, the Stags finished 86 over par as a team, well behind first place Quinnipiac, who carded a 37-over par.
Douglas’ Final Round
Starting the day on the back nine, Douglas parred the tenth hole, but then bogeyed the 11th, doubled the 12th, doubled the 14th, bogeyed the 15th and doubled the 18th to turn at 44.
She played better on the front side.
Saving par on the first three holes, Douglas birdied the fourth hole, before making back-to-back bogeys on the fifth and sixth holes.
She closed the round with a birdie on the seventh hole to shoot 80 for the day.
