Moses Brown Star Harry Dessel Commits to DI Lafayette

Moses Brown star Harry Dessel has committed to play golf at Division I Lafayette College, Moses Brown head coach Larry Tremblay confirmed with GolfNewsRI.
Dessel is the latest in a growing list of recent Rhode Islanders to play golf at a Division I college.

Others on the list include Will Dickson (Georgia Tech), Patrick Welch (Oklahoma), Davis Chatfield and Andrew O’Leary (Notre Dame), Allison Paik and Alexis Florio (Columbia), Addy Douglas (Fairfield), and Colin Sutyla (Iona).
Dessel is just days away from starting his senior season at Moses Brown, hoping to lead them to a state title.
Dessel’s Career
Dessel begins his final high school golf season after having about as good of a 2021 season as you could have, short of winning.
He finished runner up in the Junior Amateur to Max Jackson, and snagged a top five finish at the Rhode Island Stroke Play Championship.
The runner up finish in the Junior Am was the second of his career.
Dessel also played down south at the Pinehurst Junior Amateur and tournaments in Florida over the offseason.
