Pawtucket CC Adding Cool New Deck to Clubhouse

Pawtucket Country Club has a gorgeous new deck overlooking the 18th green. I played Pawtucket last week and the course was in great condition for early April.
The greens had been rolled, so they were fast and true. It is amazing that Pawtucket never closes their greens during the cold winter months when most other local courses employ temporary greens.
Yet come April, the greens are perfect.

Teeing up on the elevated 18th tee, the golfer’s target is the multi-level clubhouse some 400 yards in the distance. It has always been a great finishing hole, just 360 yards down a rolling hill. For the skilled golfer,
the hill will provide some extra roll. The final approach is to a well trapped small green.
During the warmer months, typically there are a number of patrons enjoying a sandwich and a drink on the patio above the eighteenth green.
With the new addition, there will be a deck above the patio that will provide a great view not only of the green but much of the golf course. The new deck will be an extension of the ballroom on the second floor of the clubhouse.
When there are weddings or club events, members or guests of the club will have a fantastic vantage to watch approaches to the 18th green, as well as, golfers teeing off the first and tenth tees.
Gary Reis, the owner of Pawtucket Country Club has totally remodeled the clubhouse and the pool area has a new gazebo with TV screens and a fireplace.
Pawtucket has always been recognized as a great golf course originally designed by the great architect, Willie Park and maintained by golf superintendent Michael Whitehead.
The additions to the clubhouse and pool make Pawtucket a great place to socialize and enjoy the events of the day.
