Francoeur in 13th After Day 1 of Aggie Invitational
Former University of Rhode Island star Chris Francoeur is in a tie for 13th after day one of the Aggie Invitational at Traditions Golf Club in Texas.
Through 36 holes, Francoeur is five-over for the tournament, eight shots back of first place Walker Lee of Texas A&M.
Meanwhile, Francoeur’s new team, the Louisville Cardinals are in sixth for the tournament, 22 shots back of first place Texas A&M.
In his first 18, Francoeur started on ten and birdied the hole.
However, he then doubled the 12th hole and bogeyed the 13th hole to turn at 38.
On the front side, he bogeyed the first hole, fourth hole and birdied the fifth hole, before bogeying the sixth hole and birdieing the eighth hole to shoot 75.
The former URI star started on the back nine again in the second 18 and doubled the 13th Hoel, and bogeyed the 16th hole to turn at 39.
On the front side, Francoeur birdied the first hole and parred out to shoot 74.
