Emery, Owens Qualify for New England Jr. PGA Championship
St. Ray’s star Nick Emery and Coventry’s Will Owens qualified for the New England Jr. PGA Championship on Saturday at North Kingstown Golf Course.
Owens finished the qualifier at four-over, while Emery finished at seven-over to make the cut.
The top six players made the cut out of about 60 who attempted to qualify.
The New England Junior PGA Championship is set to take place on June 28 and 29th at Shaker Hills Country Club in Massachusetts.
Other Rhode Islanders who attempted to qualify include Rocco Capalbo, Josh Calvino, Chris Waldorf, Sean Bonneau, Nathan Carter and David Bruno II.
Lucas Vrees, Nick Morgan and Matthew Speltz also played.
On the girls side, there were no Rhode Islanders attempting to qualify.
