Chatfield, Notre Dame Take 2nd at Stitch Intercollegiate
Former Rhode Island Amateur champion Davis Chatfield finished in a tie for second at the Stitch Intercollegiate on Saturday afternoon at Lonnie Poole Golf Course in North Carolina.
Chatfield finished three-under for the tournament, one shot back of Duke’s Quinn Riley, who finished first.
Meanwhile, Chatfield’s Notre Dame Fighting Irish also finished second for the tournament with a team score of even par.
Andrew O’Leary finished in 55th.
The Irish now get set for the ACC Championship.
Chatfield’s Final Day
Having to finish his second round, Chatfield closed with birdies on the fourth and seventh holes, before bogeying the ninth hole to shoot two-under 70.
In the final round, Chatfield started on the first hole and bogeyed the fifth hole, birdied the seventh hole to turn at 36.
On the back side, Chatfield bogeyed the 13th hole and birdied the 15th hole to shoot an even par 72.
