Play Suspended at Calusa Cup, Patrick Welch in 12th
Patrick Welch sits in a tie for 12th place in the middle of the second round of the Calusa Championship at Calusa Pines Golf Club in Florida.
Play was stopped multiple times due to weather and then suspended for the day.
The tournament wraps up on Tuesday with the remainder of the second round and third round.
Welch is currently even par for the tournament.
Meanwhile, the #1 Oklahoma Sooners are in sixth place at 13-over par, a long way back of first place Georgia Tech, who is seven-under and tied with Wake Forest.
Welch’s 2nd Round – So Far
Welch got off to a hot start, birding two of the first three holes to get to two-under.
He then bogeyed the fourth hole and ninth hole to turn at 36.
The former Classical star then made bogey on the 10th hole before play was called.
