Triggs Switches Club Championship Format Back to Match Play
Triggs Memorial Golf Course announced that they are making a change to their club championship format.
After years of having a stroke play event, they are switching back to match play.
“After several years of contesting the Club Championship by playing two rounds of medal play, the Men’s Innerclub’s tournament committee voted to return to the much more popular match play format for all four divisions; Championship, First and Second Divisions and Gold Division,” writes Triggs.
There will be a qualifying round played the weekend of July 9-10.
Seedings and pairings will be determined based on qualifying results.
Every division other than the Championship Division will be net play.
Jay Amado has won the last four club championships at Triggs.
