RI’s Will Dickson Set for Korn Ferry Tour Debut
Rhode Island’s Will Dickson is set to make his Korn Ferry Tour debut on Thursday morning at the Club Car Championship at the Landings Club in Georgia.
He will tee off at 9:20 a.m. off the tenth tee with Davis Lamb and Matthew Short.
“Obviously, I want to soak up everything as much as I can, but by the time we step on the tee Thursday, I am going to try and do everything I can to put myself into a position to win the golf tournament,” Dickson told GolfNewsRi.
Dickson is playing in the tournament after winning the Korn Ferry Tour Monday qualifier earlier this week.
The tournament is NOT being shown on TV.
Dickson Wins Monday Qualifier
Starting on the first hole, Dickson made three straight pars before birding the fourth hole to get to one-under.
After two more pars on the fifth and sixth holes, Dickson birdied the seventh and eighth holes to turn at three-under.
On the back side, Dickson eagled the par-5 12th hole, then birdied the 16th hole.
A bogey on 17 set him back one, but he made up for it and then some with another eagle on the 18th hole to finish two shots ahead of the next closest competitor.
