Francoeur Finishes 41st at The Hayt, Louisville Takes 6th

Former University of Rhode Island star Chris Francoeur finished in a tie for 41st in The Hayt Tournament at Sawgrass Country Club in Florida.
Francoeur posted a three-round score of seven over par (223) to finish 41st along with two other players.

Meanwhile, Francoeur’s new team, the Louisville Cardinals finished in sixth place in the tournament, 19 shots back of first place North Florida.
Louisville moved up five spots in the final round, while Francoeur climbed 27 spots.
Francoeur Climbs 27 Spots
After rounds of 75 and 81, Francoeur lit it up in the final round of the tournament.
Starting on the 10th hole, he birdied the 11th, 13th and 14th holes to get to three under, before dropping a shot at the 16th hole.
He closed his first nine with a birdie on the 18th hole to turn at 33.
On the front side (his back side), Francoeur birdied the fifth and sixth hole and turned at 34 to post 67 in the final round.
