Scheffler Wins Dell Match Play, Takes Over World #1
Scottie Scheffler defeated Kevin Kisner 4&3 to win the Dell Match Play Championship on Sunday afternoon at Austin Country Club in Texas.
The win gives Scheffler hold of the top spot in the World Golf Rankings.
He is the sixth youngest player to take over World #1.
It is also his third win in his last five starts.
The Match
After the two players halved the first hole, Scheffler quickly took control of the match.
He went one up on the second hole, two up on the fourth hole and three up on the sixth hole.
Scheffler would turn at three-up.
He would remain three up until the fourth hole when he would go four up.
The match ended on 15.
