Mickelson Pulls Out of The Masters

Embattled golf superstar Phil Mickelson will not play in this year’s Masters, Augusta National has confirmed.

Mickelson’s name was listed under “Past Champions Not Playing” on the tournament website on Monday.

Augusta only removes names from the field after hearing from the players.

On the other side of the coin, Tiger Woods is still listed as in the field.

The Masters is set to take place on April 7.

Mickelson Under Fire

The three-time Masters champ has come under fire recently after the Fire Pit Collective published comments that he made regarding the Saudi-backed Golf League and how he was using it as leverage against the PGA Tour.

A couple of days later, Mickelson released and apology to the Saudis, and within hours, lost almost all of his sponsors.

He did not apologize to the PGA Tour.

In his apology, Mickelson said that he would be taking a break from golf.

It is unknown when fans will see him playing golf again, or just seeing him again in general.
