Chatfield in 4th Entering Final Round of Schenkel Invitational
Former Rhode Island Amateur champ Davis Chatfield is in a tie for fourth, while his Notre Dame Fighting Irish are in third entering the final round of the Schenkel Invitational.
Chatfield posted a second round 71 and is six-under for the tournament to be in fourth along with Clay Amlung and Ronan Kleu.
2019 RI Amateur champ Andrew O’Leary is tied for 64th.
Meanwhile, Chatfield’s Notre Dame Fighting Irish are in third place and 11 shots behind first place Georgia Southern.
Notre Dame is nine-under for the tournament as a team.
Chatfield’s Final Round
After bogeying three of the first five holes, Chatfield birdied the sixth hole, seventh hole and then bogeyed the eighth hole.
He closed the front nine with a birdie on the ninth hole to shoot 37.
On the back side, Chatfield birdied the 12th hole and 15th holes, before closing with a bogey on 17 and birdie on 18.
