Patrick Welch Surges up 12 Spots in PGA Tour University Rankings
A week after winning the Southern Highlands Collegiate, Rhode Island’s Patrick Welch surged up 12 spots in the PGA Tour University rankings, released on Wednesday.
Welch is now ranked 17th overall, just two spots out of an automatic exemption onto one of the PGA Tour’s mini-tours.
Welch is ranked behind Arizona State’s Cameron Sisk and ahead of South Florida’s Albin Bergstrom.
The top five players in the rankings get an automatic exemption onto the Korn Ferry Tour, while top 15 go to one of the mini tours.
Chatfield Inside Top 70
Davis Chatfield also climbed up the rankings this week, moving up two spots to 64th overall.
He is ranked behind Mississippi’s Evan Brown and ahead of Marquette’s Hunter Eichhorn.
Andrew O’Leary dropped one spot to 112th on the list.
However, his last tournament, a T6 finish was not factored in. He will surely make a good jump in next week’s rankings.
