REPORT: Zach Johnson to be Named 2023 Ryder Cup Captain
Zach Johnson is expected to be named as the captain of the 2023 Ryder Cup Team, according to a report from the Associated Press.
The PGA of America will make a formal announcement on Monday morning.
Johnson will look to lead the U.S. to a road victory for the first time in about 30 years.
The 2023 Ryder Cup matches are set for September 29 to October 1 at Marco Simone Golf Club in Italy.
This will mark the first time ever that the matches take place in Italy.
About Johnson
Johnson, 46, has served as an assistant captain on the last two Ryder Cup teams, including the victory at Whistling Straits.
He will take over for Steve Stricker.
Johnson has played in five Ryder Cups and has 12 PGA Tour victories to his name, as well as, two majors.
