Bobby Leopold Tied 40th After Round 1 of Gasparilla Invitational
Defending Rhode Island Amateur Champ Bobby Leopold is down in Florida this week competing in the annual Gasparilla Invitational.
In round one, Leopold posted a 1-over 71 and currently sits in a tie for 40th.
Leopold tees of Friday at 1:30 p.m.
Florida’s Logan Blondell leads the tournament at 5-under.
Leopold’s 1st Round
Leopold opened the first round with pars on the opening holes, before bogeying the third hole.
He bounced back with a birdie on the fourth hole, but closed the front nine with bogeys on six and nine to turn in 37.
On the back side, Leopold bogeyed the 12th hole, but bounced back with birdies on 14 and 15 to shoot 71.
