Florio Tied 34th, Paik 57th at Columbia Classic

Rhode Island’s Alexis Florio is in a tie for 34th, while Allison Paik sits in 57th after day one of the Columbia Classic on Sunday at Duran Golf Club in Florida. 

Florio posted a 79 in the first 18 holes and a 73 in the second 18 for a two round score of 152. 

Paik posted back-to-back 79s for a two round score of 158.

Meanwhile, Columbia as a team is in 12th place at 49-over par.

Florio Climbs the Leaderboard

After a first round 79, Florio moved up 22 spots in the second 18. 

She opened with a bogey on the second hole, but closed the first nine with back-to-back birdies to turn at 35. 

On the back side, Florio bogeyed the 12th hole, before dropping a birdie putt on the 13th hole. 

A double-bogey on 14 set her back before parring out to post 73. 

Paik Finishes Off Day 1

Like Florio, Paik shot a 79 in the first 18 holes, but posted another 79 in the second 18. 

The former Wheeler star opened with three bogeys on the first four holes before birding the 5th hole. 

Paik closed the front nine with a bogey not he ninth hole to turn in 39. 

On the back side, Paik bogeyed 11, doubled 13 and bogeyed 14, before closing with a birdie on 17 and a bogey on 18 to shoot 79.
