Florio Finishes T48, Paik T52 at Columbia Classic

Rhode Island’s Alexis Florio finished in a tie for 48th, while Allison Paik finished in a tie for 52nd this week at the Columbia Classic at Duran Golf Club down in Florida. 

Florio finished with a three-round score of 235, including a final round 83 on Monday.

Paik finished with a three-round score of 236. 

Meanwhile, as a team, Columbia finished 12th out of 14 teams with a team score of 83-over par.

Florio’s Final Round

After a second round 73, Florio made three double-bogeys in the final round to shoot 83. 

Starting on the 11th hole, Florio made her first double of the day, take a seven on the par-5. 

Florio bogeyed 13, birdied 15 and bogeyed 18 to make her first turn of the day. 

On the front side, Florio doubled the par-5 first hole, then went on to bogey four of the final five holes to post 42 on the front. 

Florio’s last hole was the tenth, in which she made a double to post 83. 

Paik’s Final Round 

The former Wheeler star actually moved up five spots in her final round. 

Like Florio, she also started on the 11th hole and made a bogey there. 

After a string of par saves, Paik bogeyed the 18th hole to make the first turn. 

On the front side, Paik made bogeys on the second and third holes, then again on the ninth hole to post 39 on the front. 

She finished her tournament with a bogey on the tenth hole.
