Will Dickson in 5th After Opening 36 Holes on Emerald Coast Tour

Rhode Island’s Will Dickson is in fifth place after the first 36 holes at Kelly Plantation on the Emerald Coast Tour down in Florida.

Dickson shot rounds of 77 and 71 and is four shots off the lead with 18 holes to play.

“Started out this morning it was 41 degrees and blowing 20 miles per hour. Wind was a facto all day but finally warmed up in the afternoon,” Dickson told GolfNewsRI following his round.

However, Dickson adds that things did not end the way he wanted.

“Hit driver two-iron to 15 feet on the last hole of the day and three-putted. Pretty hot at the moment,” said Dickson.

There are currently two guys at 144 (total score) and two guys at 145. Dickson is at 148 and “everyone else is pretty far behind.”

Dickson tees off at 10:27 a.m. on Thursday.
