Paik, Florio Set for South Atlantic Women’s Amateur

Rhode Island’s Allison Paik and Alexis Florio are continuing the Florida swing this week when they tee it up in the South Atlantic Women’s Amateur at Oceanside Country Club. 

The tournament, which tees off today, features four 18-hole rounds, concluding on Saturday afternoon.

Paik is teeing off at 10:40 a.m. on Wednesday, while Florio tees off at 11 a.m.

History of Tournament 

The South Atlantic Women’s Amateur Championship, also known as the SALLY, dates back to 1926 and continues to field contestants from all over the world.

Current LPGA superstars like Lexi Thompson, Brooke Henderson, Jessica and Nelly Korda, and Ariya Jutanugarn have all come through The Sally. In all, fully half of the field will be elite amateurs and players from top-ranked college programs including Wake Forest, Kent State, Florida, Arizona and Alabama. Countries represented include Guatemala, Italy, Taiwan, Mexico, England, Spain and more.
