Escaping Winter: A Golf Real Estate Guide to Warmer Climates

Have you stepped outside recently? Yeah, not really golf weather.
The cold weather is most certainly here and will be here for at least the next couple of months.
Thankfully for golfers, you don’t have to just wait it out on simulators. Florida and other warmer climates are calling.
“Florida real estate markets will continue to increase in 2022 due to favorable interest rates and the demographics of an aging population. New home construction will also do well with both rental and sales markets but may slow due to a shortage of skilled trades people,” said Rhode Island’s Dan Cesaroni, owner of Schoolhouse Apartments LLC.
Whether you are looking to buy a winter home or rent a house for a month with a bunch of buddies, there are several options available.
Right now, you can rent a townhouse inside the PGA National Resort for $10,500 per month. The house comes with three beds, 2.5 baths and is 1,710 square feet.
There are other properties outside of the resort that are renting anywhere from $3,200 to $10,000 per month.
If you are looking to buy, things obviously are a bit more expensive – but not terrible.
“Housing value indexes range from a low of $142,500 in Tallahassee to $547,382 in Naples. Medium ranges value show up in areas of Sarasota and Tampa,” said Cesaroni.
Currently available in the PGA National area, there are multiple properties on Ryder Cup Drive for over $520,000.
