Francoeur in 17th, Chatfield 33rd at Patriot All-America Tournament

Former University of Rhode Island star Chris Francoeur is in a tie for 17th, while Davis Chatfield is in 33rd after round one of the Patriot All-America Tournament at the Wigwam in Arizona.
As GolfNewsRI reported, Chatfield is representing fallen U.S. Marine Corporal Timothy Roos.

Francoeur fired a two-under par 68 in the first round, while Chatfield posted an even par 70.
Francoeur’s 1st Round
Francoeur opened the round with birdies on the second and fifth holes to get to two under par for the tournament.
However, he gave it back with bogeys on six and 11 to drop back to even par.
Francoeur closed the round with birdies on 12 and 15 to finish at two under par.
Chatfield’s 1st Round
The University of Notre Dame star made bogey on the first hole of the tournament, before playing the rest of the front side at even par.
Making the turn, Chatfield dropped birdie putts on the 12th and 15th holes to get to one-under.
However, a bogey on the 17th hole dropped him to even par for the day.
