REPORT: PNC Championship Holding Spot for Tiger Woods, Son Charlie

Could a Tiger Woods comeback be just around the corner?

According to a report from Golfweek’s Eamon Lynch, the PNC Championship is holding a spot  for Tiger and his son Charlie.

The two played last year and finished in seventh place, but took the golf world by storm in the process.

It was the last tournament that Tiger played before his near fatal car crash.

Lynch writes, “Three sources familiar with the situation confirmed to Golfweek that the PNC Championship is keeping a place open for Woods in the limited-field event, which begins in just three weeks. Organizers had planned to complete the field without the 15-time major winner, who has been recovering from serious injuries sustained in a February 23 car wreck.’The message came: not just yet!’ one source familiar with the circumstances said.

Three weeks ago, Woods posted a video of him hitting balls on social media.

That began the speculation that a return is around the corner.
