Max Jackson Named Junior Boys Player of Year

To very little surprise, La Salle’s Max Jackson has been named the Rhode Island Junior Boys Player of the Year, the Rhode Island Golf Association announced on Wednesday.
This is Jackson’s first Player of the Year title of what would seem to be many more to come.

Jackson is coming off a breakout summer in Rhode Island Golf.
He started by winning the High School State Championship with a two-round score of two-under par at Cranston Country Club.
He then made it to the match play portion of the Rhode Island Amateur at Kirkbrae in July.
It marked the second straight year in which he had made the match play.
Following that, Jackson won the World Series of Junior Golf at Triggs and then edged Harry Dessel to win the Rhode Island Junior Amateur at Rhode Island Country Club.
