Quigley Climbs to 6th in Round 2 of Charles Schwab Cup Championship

Rhode Island’s Brett Quigley climbed three spots during the second round of the Charles Schwab Cup Championship on Friday. 

Quigley posted his second straight round of 67 and is now in sixth place at 8-under par for the tournament. 

He is five shots off the lead of Kirk Triplett entering the weekend.

Quigley’s 2nd Round 

After a 67 in the first round, Quigley opened the second round with a birdie on the first hole, six straight pars and another birdie on eight. 

He parred nine to turn in 34, 2-under. 

After saving par at 10. Quigley ripped off back-to-back birdies on 11 and 12 to get to four-under for the day. 

However, he gave one back on the 13th with a bogey. 

Quigley would get that dropped shot back with a birdie on 17 to shoot 67 for the day.
