A Tiger Woods Update from Justin Thomas

PGA Tour superstar Justin Thomas joined the No Laying Up Podcast earlier this week and gave an update on Tiger Woods.

Things have been quiet on the Tiger front over the last several weeks to a month, other than an occasional picture of him surfacing at his son Charlie’s golf tournament.

Thomas told the Podcast that he tries to visit Tiger at least a couple of times a week.

“He’s still his sarcastic-ass self, so nothing has changed there, so I’m glad to see that he’s still chipper as always,” said Thomas.

He adds, “I mean, it’s ‘Groundhog Day. Every day’s the exact same thing for him. But at least he’s able to — pictures were going around of him at Charlie’s tournament, Sam’s soccer tournaments here and there. He’s able to be a dad somewhat again, which is most important.”

But the big question remains, will Tiger return to competitive golf.

There have been some reports that Woods has been doing some minor golf activities, but nothing to intense just yet.

“I don’t know. I mean, I know that he’s going to try. I don’t see him ever playing if he can’t play well. He doesn’t strike me as a guy who’s played at home and he’s shooting a bunch of 75s and 76s and he’s like ‘OK, I’m gonna give Augusta a try this year.’ That’s not really gonna be him, at least from my understanding, what I know of him.” Thomas said on the Podcast.

Woods’ charity tournament, the Hero World Challenge, is set to take place next month. Woods typically attends, even if he is not playing.

However, it is unclear if he will be there this year.
