Francoeur Finishes 23rd in Louisville’s Fall Season Finale

Former URI star Chris Francoeur closed out his 2021 fall season with a tied for 23rd finish at the Williams Cup at Eagle Point Golf Club in North Carolina. 

Francoeur posted a three round score of 220 (4-over) to finish tied with two other players. 

Meanwhile, his Louisville Cardinals finished in a tie for 5th out of ten teams with a team score of 12-over for the tournament.

North Carolina won the tournament with a score of 17-under.

This was Louisville’s final tournament of the fall season. 

Francoeur’s Final Round 

Starting on the first hole, Franocuer saved par on the first five holes, before dropping a birdie on the sixth hole to get to one under. 

He would give it back on the eighth hole to make the turn at even par. 

On the back side, things got rocky. 

Francoeur bogeyed four straight holes from 13-16, before birdieing the 17th hole to shoot 75. 

Francoeur dropped five spots in the final round.
