Patrick Welch Climbs Two Spots in Latest PGA Tour University Rankings

Rhode Island’s Patrick Welch climbed up two spots in the latest PGA Tour University rankings released on Wednesday.
After dropping four spots last week, Welch is now ranked 30th overall behind Pepperdine’s Derek Hitchner and ahead of Clemson’s Kyle Cottam.
The rise comes as the former Classical High School star gets set to defend his title at the East Lake Cup starting on Monday.

The top 15 players at the end of the college golf season get an exemption onto one of the PGA Mini-Tours.
The top five in the rankings go straight to the Korn Ferry Tour.
Chatfield & O’Leary
After moving up two spots last week, Chatfield remained in 83rd this week.
However, it is likely that his fourth place finish at the Stephens cup was not taken into account.
Andrew O’Leary dropped one spot to 110th on the list.
The Stephens Cup is Notre Dame’s last tournament of the fall season.
