Addy Douglas Finishes 17th at Quinnipiac Classic
Newport’s Addy Douglas finished in a tie for 17th at the Quinnipiac Classic at The Farms Country Club on Tuesday.
Douglas posted a two-round score of 238 (22-over) to finished tied with Alexandra Tomasso of Merrimack.
Meanwhile, the Stags finished in sixth place in the tournament, with Quinnipiac taking home the victory.
Fairfield has two tournaments left in their fall schedule.
Douglas’ Round
After an opening round 73, Douglas’ tournament went downward with rounds of 80 and then an 85.
In the final round, she dropped 11 spots in the standings to finish 17th.
Douglas opened the final round with five bogeys in the first seven holes, and then a double-bogey on the ninth hole to shoot 43 on the front.
On the back side, Douglas bogeyed ten and 11 before making her lone birdie on the 12th hole.
Douglas doubled the 13th hole, then bogeyed the 14th, 15th and 16th holes.
She closed with two pars to post a final round 85.
