URI Finishes 2nd at Wildcat Fall Invitational

The University of Rhode Island Golf team recorded a second place finish this week at the Villanova Wildcat Fall Invitational at Radnor Valley Country Club in Pennsylvania.
Rhode Island turned in the second-best team score of the day (283) finishing three shots behind first-place Drexel in the final round of play.

Overall, the Rams were 12-over through three rounds, finishing with a team score of 852 (282-287-283).
Leading URI
The Rams were led by redshirt senior Brandon Gillis, who finished in second place with a score of 5-under par (205). All three of his rounds were in the 60s.
He was the only player among the field of 70 competitors to card three sub-70 rounds.
Junior Bryson Richards tied for third overall at 2-under.
His three-round score of 208 (68-69-71) included the tournament’s most pars made (42) and best par-4 scoring (-4).
