Florio Leads Columbia to 2nd Place Finish at Princeton Invitational

Cranston’s Alexis Florio led the Columbia women’s golf team to a second place finish this weekend at the Princeton Invitational at Springdale Golf Club in New Jersey.
Individually, Florio finished in a tie for 8th place with a three round score of two-over (218).

As a team, Columbia posted a three round score of 15-over par (879) to finish in second, 15 shots behind Princeton.
Meanwhile, Allison Paik finished in a tie for 23rd for the tournament, posting a nine-over 225 through three rounds.
Florio’s Final Round
Florio opened her final round with a birdie on the third hole, before making bogeys at six and eight to make the turn at one over (37) for the day.
On the back side, Florio made birdie on 12, but bogeyed 14 and 17 to shoot 74 for the day.
Paik’s Round
Paik got off to an up and down start in her third round.
She bogeyed the second hole, then birdied the third hole before making double on the par-5 fourth hole.
Paik closed the front nine with a bogey on seven and a birdie on nine.
Making the turn, Paik doubled the 10th hole and bogeyed the 15th hole to shoot 77.
It was her highest score of the tournament.
