OSWGA Edges LPGA Amateurs RI to Win Inaugural Rhode Island Cup
The Ocean State Women’s Golf Association (OSWGA) edged the LPGA Amateur Golf Association Rhode Island chapter in the inaugural Rhode Island Cup on Sunday at Blackstone National Golf Club.
OSWGA won 92.50 to 87.50 in the Ryder Cup like tournament.
The OSWGA team consisted of Susan Donahue, Chris Trenholme, Pat Dickson, Karen Cabral, Shae McWilliams, Yung Park, Carolyn Maney and Patricia Doherty.
The LPGA Amateur team consisted of Tracy Higgins, Sharon Robinson, Jean Luisi, Tonia Mason, Kara Fay, Pamela Brissette, JoAnn Black and Debbie French.
The Tournament
The one-day event was broken down into three sections, four-ball, singles and scramble.
The OSWGA won the Four-Ball and Singles before LPGA Amateurs RI won the final session.
