Welch Climbs Two Spots in Latest PGA Tour University Rankings

Following an 11th place finish at the Maridoe Collegiate, Rhode Island’s Patrick Welch climbed two spots in the latest PGA Tour University Rankings.
Welch now sits in the 30th spot just behind Carson Lundell fo Brigham Young and ahead of Clemson’s Kyle Cottam.

The top 15 at the end of the college season get an automatic exemption onto one of the PGA mini-tours.
The top five players in the rankings go straight to the Korn Ferry Tour.
Oklahoma returns to action next week in the Nike Invitational.
Other RIers Drop
While Welch moved up, Davis Chatfield dropped for the second straight week and so did Andrew O’Leary.
Chatfield is now 81st on the list behind Georgia’s Eli Scott and ahead of Clemson’s Zack Gordon.
O’Leary has fallen all the way to 105th on the list behind Missouri’s Jack Parker and ahead of Delaware’s Roberto Nieves.
Notre Dame returns to action this weekend in the Northwestern Windon Invitational.
