Francoeur Tied for 17th After Round 1 of Maui Jim Intercollegiate
Former University of Rhode Island Golf star Chris Francoeur is in a tie for 17th after the first round of the Maui Jim Intercollegiate.
Francoeur fired a two-under par 68 in the opening round to help Louisville into a tie for fourth place and just nine shots back of first place Georgia Tech.
The Cardinals will tee off on Saturday morning to begin second-round action.
Francoeur’s 1st Round
Starting on the tenth hole, Francoeur made birdie to get off to a good start, than made another birdie on the 13th hole to get to two-under par.
He parred out the rest of the nine to make the turn at two-under.
On the back side (front nine for him), Francoeur birdied the sixth hole to get to three-under par for the tournament before making bogey on the last to fall back one shot.
