Rahm Wins PGA of America Player of Year
The PGA of America has named Jon Rahm as its Player of the Year.
This comes despite Patrick Cantlay winning four times during the PGA Tour’s 2020-21 super season, including the last two tournaments of the year and the FedEx Cup.
Rahm has just one win this season, albeit the U.S. Open, however, he tied for the lowest score at the Tour Championship, and led the Memorial by six shots before having to drop out due to Covid.
The Spaniard also had five top-10 finishes in majors this season.
While doing all that, Rahm also led the tour in scoring, strokes gained and earnings.
He had 15 top-10 finishes in 22 starts.
No other player on Tour had double-digit top-10 finishes this season.
