O’Leary, Chatfield Lead Notre Dame Into Marquette Invitational
Andrew O’Leary and Davis Chatfield are set to lead the Notre Dame Fighting Irish into the Marquette Invitational this weekend at Erin Hills in Wisconsin.
Earlier this week, O’Leary beat Chatfield by one shot in the Notre Dame team qualifier.

The Marquette Invitational runs from September 5 to September 7.
Breaking Down the Irish
Notre Dame was ranked 20th in the country by Golf Channel prior to the start of the season.
The Irish made it to the regional round of the NCAA Tournament last season. It was their first NCAA appearance in several years.
Chatfield is coming off an incredible summer in which he and teammate Palmer Jackson made it to the semifinals of the U.S. Amateur Four-Ball.
In late June, Chatfield finished fifth at the Northeast Amateur and then this past month, Davis made a deep run into the quarterfinals of the U.S. Amateur.
O’Leary made it to his third straight RI Amateur Championship where he lost to Bobby Leopold at Kirkbrae Country Club.
He also played well at the Northeast Amateur, firing a third round 64 to make the cut. The 64 include a hole-in-one on Wannamoisett’s 8th hole.
He will look to build off some high finishes last year.
Palmer Jackson will be the third cog in the Notre Dame machine followed by Taichi Kho and junior Patrick Kelly.
