URI Sits in 3rd After Day 1 at Lagowitz Memorial
The University of Rhode Island golf team sits in third place after day one of the Lagowtiz Memorial Invitational at Seven Oaks Golf Club in New York.
Through 36 holes, the Rams posted a score of 10-over par and sits seven shots out of second and 14 shots out of first.

Yale leads the tournament with a score of four-under par.
Rhody’s First Day
Rhody was led by redshirt senior Brandon Gillis through the first two rounds of the tournament.
Gillis posted 75 in the first round, then bounced back with a 67 in the second round to sit in solo third at two-under par.
He is just one shot off the lead.
The only other Ram in the top ten is Bryson Richards.
Richards fired a 75 in the first round and a 71 in the second round to finish the day at one-over and in a tie for 10th overall.
Other Rams in the mix include Jordan Brajcich and Andrew DiPetrillo who are in ties for 31st and 35th respectively.
Nate Ingram is in 49th.
