DeChambeau to Compete in Long Drive World Championship – Day After Ryder Cup

Bryson DeChambeau announced that he will be competing in the Long Drive World Championship this September.

Interestingly enough, the competition takes place the day after the Ryder Cup at Whistling Straits.

“I recently got invited to The Professional Long Driver’s Association World Championship in Mesquite Nevada September 27th- October 1st @prolongdrive. This is an amazing opportunity to grow the game and the sport in general! I want to show the world how incredibly talented and hard working these athletes are. Ive been working hard to get my game up to their speeds so I have a chance but will still continue to play my best golf with my regular day job,” wrote DeChambeau in an Instagram post.

The Ryder Cup takes place from September 24 to September 26.

In his statement, DeChambeau mentions that he has been working hard to get his speed up for the Long Drive World Championship.

What does that mean for his game in the Ryder Cup?
