PC Basketball Legend Joe Hassett, & Team, Win Warwick Member-Guest
Providence College basketball legend Joe Hassett and his team took home the trophy at Warwick Country Club’s men’s member-guest on Thursday.
Hassett teamed with Bob and Steve Harrington, as well as, Herb Stevens.

Hassett’s Basketball Career
After graduating from La Salle, Hassett played at Providence College from 1973 to 1977, where he shares a record with four other players to score at least 500 points in a season in three straight years.
His number hangs in the rafters at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center.
After PC, Hassett was selected by the Seattle SuperSonics in the third round of the 19787 NBA Draft.
He won an NBA Championship with the Sonics in 1979.
Hassett is a member of the New England Basketball Hall of Fame,the Providence College Hall of Fame, the Rhode Island Heritage Hall of Fame, and the Rhode Island Interscholastic League Hall of Fame.
