Rhode Island’s Davis Chatfield is through to the round of 32 at the U.S. Amateur. 

Chatfield edged William Paysee 2&1 in the opening round of matches on Thursday morning to advance. 

He will now face Alex Fitzpatrick in the round of 32 starting today at 3:25 p.m. 

Alex is the younger brother of PGA Tour player Matt Fitzpatrick.
