Championship Matches Set at RI Junior Amateur
The championship matches at the Rhode Island Junior Amateur are set.
Moses Brown star Harry Dessel will face La Salle phenom Max Jackson in the boys championship, while Olivia Williams will face Kylie Eaton in the girls championship.
The boys matchup goes off at 7:08 a.m. and the girls go off at 7:16 a.m.
Dessel vs Jackson
Dessel beat Spencer Dumas 3&2 to advance to the finals and continue is great summer play.
He made it to the quarterfinals of the RI Amateur, played in the North & South Junior Amateur at Pinehurst and was in contention at the RI Stroke Play.
Jackson defeated top-seeded Bennett Masterson one up to advance to the finals.
Jackson is the defending high school golf state champion, beating everyone, including Dessel earlier this year.
Eaton vs Williams
Kylie Eaton knocked off Gianna papa in the quarterfinal and then edged her sister Adrianna in the semifinals.
The two times they have played each other in competition this summer, Kylie has won both times.
There could be a third time if they meet in the Kirkbrae club championship.
Williams took down top seeded Vinny Papa in the semifinal.
