Chatfield Makes Cut

Needing a good round on Tuesday-Wednesday, Chatfield didn’t get off to the best start, making a bogey on the third hole and then another on the fifth hole.

However, a birdie sandwiched between the two bogeys kept him afloat.

After that, the 2016 RI Amateur champ went on a big run.

He dropped birdie putts on six, seven, and eight to post a two-under 34 on the front nine.

Making the tun, he birdied 13 and 15 to play the back nine at two-under to shoot 66.

The cut figures to be about 3-over, which is where Chatfield was after his opening round.
