URI’s Francoeur Leads Ouimet Memorial After Round 2
URI golf star Chris Francoeur is leading the Ouimet Memorial Tournament after round two.
Francoeur fired a 69 in the second round at Charles River Country Club to hold a one shot lead entering Friday’s final round at Woodland Golf Club.
Francoeur tees off at 11:51 a.m. with Dillon Brown and Kyle Tibbetts in the final group.

Francoeur got off to a rough start in round two, bogeying three of his first five holes to drop out of first place and a few shots back.
However, he bounced back in a big way.
The URI star made birdie on the sixth hole and made the turn at two over for the day.
He then lit up the back nine with birdies on 12, 15 and 16 to climb back into the lead.
So a round that looked like it could have been a disaster, turned into a 69.
