8 Rhode Islanders Advance to LPGA Amateur Cup Finals
Eight members of the LPGA Amateur RI Chapter have advanced to the Cup Finals in mid-August.
The eight players who are playing on include Linda Soares, Elaine Akaka
Connie Palagi, Suzanne Greenbaum, Sherry Ferdinandi, Danielle Blackwell, Christine Santos, Megan Cote.
The women survived the regional qualifier at Crystal Springs Resort in New Jersey earlier this month.
They now play in the cup finals on August 13-14 at Kingsmill Resort in Virginia.
About LPGA Amateur RI Chapter
The 140 members range from new golfers to those that want to just play with their friends weekly, to competitive golfers that compete against other states.
There are weekly leagues at Fall River Country Club, Swansea Country Club, Triggs, North Kingston and Cranston Country Club. They also have weekend events for all levels.
