He is one of two Rhode Islanders in the field, along with Brad Valois.

Chatfield’s Second Round

After struggling in the first round, Chatfield seemed to find something in the second round.

He made birdie on the first hole, and another on the seventh hole to make the turn at two-under par.

Chatfield’s only blemish on the card came on 14 when he made bogey to shoot a one-under 69 for the round.

He shot 75 in the first round.

Welch’s Second Round

After saving par on the first three holes, Welch made back-to-back bogeys  to move to two-over for the day.

He then dropped birdie putts on the sixth and ninth holes to get back to even par heading into the back nine.

Welch made three bogeys on the back nine to shoot a 73 for the second straight day.
